About the role
A leading law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to manage their own family law cases from inception to conclusion. The role involves providing high-quality representation to clients and maintaining a healthy work-life balance through reasonable caseloads. Attorneys are expected to bill approximately 130 hours per month.
What we are looking for
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California and possess at least 5 years of dedicated, recent family law experience. The ability to independently manage cases or a strong desire to progress to this level of responsibility is essential. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities are required. While not mandatory, Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) status would be highly advantageous. A total of 5-20 years of family law practice in California, preferably in San Diego County, is desired.
Compensation
Base salary starts at $135,000, with an on-target earning potential of up to $250,000. This includes significant performance-based and referral bonuses, paid monthly. Performance bonuses commence at 110 billable hours per month ($75 per hour for 110-130 hours, and $125 per hour for over 130 hours), and are not contingent on client fee collection. Additional referral bonuses are also available.
