About the role
An established full-service law firm is seeking a Complex Commercial Litigation Associate with four to eight years of post-qualification experience to join its Securities Litigation, Arbitration, Regulation and Investigations practice in Madison, New Jersey. The appointed lawyer will represent major financial institutions in sophisticated, high-stakes commercial disputes, managing full-lifecycle litigation across state and federal courts alongside parallel regulatory matters, with direct exposure to leading partners and genuine partnership prospects.
What we are looking for
• Juris Doctor with strong academic credentials; active New Jersey bar admission or eligibility to waive in. • 4–8 years of post-JD experience focused primarily on bank-side financial services defence litigation (defending lenders, broker-dealers, or commercial banks). • Substantive litigation experience, including managing pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and trial preparation. • Familiarity with lender liability, commercial finance, consumer finance (FDCPA, TILA, RESPA), and securities litigation. • Experience handling or interfacing with parallel regulatory matters (e.g., CFPB, OCC, DOBI). • Stable career history (no more than two firms within the past five years). • Ability to work in-office three days per week in Madison, NJ.
Compensation
$154,000 – $185,000
