About the role
A collaborative boutique law firm operating at the intersection of law and finance is seeking a senior corporate lawyer to help lead and expand its corporate practice. The role offers the opportunity to shape practice development, advise entrepreneurs, family offices, and mission-driven businesses, and collaborate across funds and debt practices while maintaining a balanced billable target.
What we are looking for
- 10-15+ years of corporate transactional experience (M&A, private equity, or venture capital) at a large or mid-sized law firm (major law firm background required). - Deep expertise in venture capital, private equity, M&A, or general corporate advisory. - Demonstrated ability to lead and execute transactions autonomously from inception to completion. - No more than approximately one year of in-house experience. - Ideally brings 1-2 client relationships, or possesses exceptional technical execution capabilities. - Experience mentoring junior lawyers.
Compensation
$250,000 - $400,000 base salary depending on experience and portable business, plus tiered performance bonus tied to billable hours (1,400 hour target). Origination credit starts at 20%. Compensation structured as lower base with meaningful upside.
