About the role
A rapidly expanding, fully remote legal practice is seeking a Tech Transactions Associate with 3–6 years of specialised experience. The role involves working directly with founders of venture-backed startups, focusing on drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial agreements. The successful candidate will also contribute to building scalable processes and leveraging AI to innovate legal service delivery. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts (e.g., MSAs, SaaS agreements, DPAs, BAAs), advising on technology transactions and data privacy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, delegating work to paralegals, and working with engineers to refine AI-enabled legal workflows.
What we are looking for
Candidates must possess 3–6 years of dedicated tech transactions experience, with broad industry exposure. Healthcare experience, including familiarity with BAAs and HIPAA, is prioritised. Strong data privacy expertise, including hands-on DPA drafting, is essential. A genuine interest in AI tools and building innovative solutions, demonstrated through initiative in work or personal life, is also required. Only US citizens or Green Card holders are considered.
Compensation
A base salary range of $200,000 to $300,000 is offered. The firm aims to align with Cravath scale by the end of Q1.
