About the role
A premier real estate law firm is seeking a Real Estate Litigation Associate to join its practice in New York. The appointed lawyer will manage complex real estate litigation proceedings on behalf of commercial landlords, property owners, and developers across New York state and federal courts. Responsibilities encompass drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, overseeing discovery and e-discovery, witness preparation, and participating directly in trials, evidentiary hearings, and arbitrations. The position offers significant opportunity for career progression and the development of an independent book of business, backed by business origination credit.
What we are looking for
• Minimum of 5 years of dedicated complex real estate litigation experience, specifically representing commercial landlords, owners, and developers in New York courts. • Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing. • Comprehensive knowledge of New York civil practice and procedure, complemented by hands-on trial and hearing experience. • Demonstrated record of career stability and commitment. • Submission of two unredacted writing samples is required for consideration.
Compensation
$220,000 – $250,000 base salary depending on experience and qualifications, plus an additional year-end bonus based on performance, billable hours, and business origination credit.
