About the role
A boutique commercial law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigator to lead and manage complex commercial and entertainment litigation matters in New York state and federal courts. The role involves managing disputes from inception through trial, advising existing high-profile entertainment and music industry clients, and leveraging the firm's platform to further develop an independent practice.
What we are looking for
- Admission to the New York Bar (essential) - 10 to 25 years of commercial, entertainment, or IP litigation experience, including trial experience - A portable book of business of $1M to $1.5M - Proven ability to manage cases independently from client intake through trial - Strong drafting and advocacy skills across pleadings, briefs, settlement agreements, and mediation statements
Compensation
$250,000 - $300,000 base salary, with a guaranteed $50,000 bonus at 1,600 billable hours. Additional significant compensation for collections on originations above $500,000 (up to c. 30%+). Total compensation can reach $600,000+ for practitioners with a $1M-$1.5M portable book.
